Like everyone else, I have many memories from our GMC days. This story goes back to the time when we were appearing for final professional pathology practical. Professor B R Prabhakar preferred short hair for students. I got my hair cut and appeared for the exam. It went off well. Professor Prabhakar seemed happy at my performance. At the end of the exam, he instructed me to get my hair short and told me to show my face to him the very next day, only then he would pass me in the exam.
I was surprised and at a loss. How short I could I get my hair cut further ! I went to the salon the same evening and got my hair shortened further. Next day I went to Prof Prabhakar and showed him my latest hair style, he smiled and declared that I had passed. This incident got imprinted in my memory and I will never forget it.
