I am sure you all have been enjoying going through various pages of our website www.gmcamritsar1974.com . A big “thank you” to all those who have contributed to the blog section and shared their experiences, memories and thoughts. Also, thank you in anticipation to those who are gathering their thoughts together and plan to send a write up in coming weeks. Here is a recap of the ones we have read and enjoyed so far.
Baldev’s blog took us back to the memorable monsoon of 1974 and all that followed in the next few weeks. Manu’s nostalgic sentiments about our good old Victoria Jubilee Hospital were felt deep in the heart. Ashok Rajput’s memory about an iconic song played daily at midnight was as interesting as a Bollywood movie.

Harmohinder expressed his pride for being an alumnus of GMC Amritsar. Indeed, we are all grateful to this great institution which equipped us with in-depth knowledge and skills which made us accomplished physicians.

Pawan Ram’s feelings and thoughts for the cadavers that lay in front of us on the tables of the dissection hall touched every heart. That’s where the human anatomy unfolded for us. He is right when he says that destiny took us apart to places far and wide. Thankfully the modern technology has brought us together once again.

Sukhi’s blog revealed a naughty side of his personality. It showed how he and his friend Rajiv Sood converted many tough situations into laughable fun filled memories. Dolly’s blog was like a sincere open book as she shared her feelings.

Neera described how her father motivated her to study hard to get into medical college. It’s we who are lucky that she followed his advice and we got such a gem of a friend. Balwinder must be a popular teacher amongst her students. Her blog revived the nostalgia of our own student years.

Sanjiv shared the pictures and fun moments of the party he hosted at Chandigarh keeping the spirit of friendship alive and kicking. Shobhna, don’t worry, we won’t let you miss the upcoming reunion and you have to promise that you will make us laugh as much as you made Sanjiv laugh.

Dinesh ( CR) keeps amazing us with not only the many books he has authored but also by his detailed blogs about some very significant happenings hitherto unknown to many of us during those five plus years that shaped the final fate of our class. Another of his blog about “ Remembering teachers “ is a very befitting tribute to them in a nutshell.

Once again, thank you all.
