Memories

Memories

My hidden emotions come to surface when I think about our medical college days. I often have been talking to my wife, children and new friends throughout my life about those golden years and the friendships especially with my batchmates Raakesh Bhan, Ashok Jain and other friends in the hostel.

A lot of things come to my mind to share but one that no one might remember was in final year. During final exam days, every night at 12 AM, I used to play the same song on tape recorder-  Kaheen deep jale kaheen dil- loud and never late. Then I would switch off the player.

Other thing that no one may remember – not even my batchmates- Dr Mukherjee threw me out of the dissection hall because I was wearing bell bottoms and Rajesh Khanna style hair. To get back inside the hall I had to have ‘Mukherjee hair cut’ and wear regular pants.

These are just few of the memories that I thought of sharing with you all.
